The House

Upon arrival

Step back in time as you enter our wide wooden door, the original entry into the central hallway. You’ll immediately notice the character of 200 years of charm gracing this home. Wide plank floors, ten foot ceilings, hand-crafted moldings surround you along with eclectic collections of antiques gathered through the years.

Gathering Room

Our gathering room offers respite to stress of everyday life. This is where guests gather, meet new friends, discuss the day’s events, play games, take in an old movie on the TV or just relax. Decorated in a country casual décor and the bright sunny windows are sure to bring a smile and beg you to enjoy your time away from home.

Dining Room

Wake up to the aromas of your hot chef’s choice breakfast served at a mutually prearranged time. Enjoy a hearty meal complete with fruit, meat, entree and fresh baked surprise. Local or homegrown produce, jellies and syrup are delectable delights. Special dietary needs can be arranged in advance. Hot beverages and homemade cookies are available at all times. The dining room also has a refrigerator for the convenience of our guests.

Living Room

Perhaps guests prefer a quieter setting for conversation or reading, our living room is just such a place. Cozy chairs and a settee await you by the gas-fired stove. This room also offers guests a writing desk and choice of books. Most times of the year, a jigsaw puzzle provides a challenge for guests willing to try a piece or two. There is also a piano if a guest is willing to share a favorite tune. Wireless Internet is available throughout the house.

Country Kitchen

Our kitchen is reminiscent of Grandma’s. It is usually a busy and friendly place. Warren welcomes conversation while he prepares your morning coffee, then Janet and he prepare your home-cooked breakfast. Other times of the day home baked cookies, pies, and other treats warm the atmosphere and delight the senses. So, grab a mug of coffee or tea and sit a spell.
